Overview

Barnet has a great collection of parks and open spaces and these are an important part of what makes Barnet a green and family friendly borough. We have been allocated £750,000 funding to improve play facilities across the borough and have identified five playgrounds which would benefit the most from refurbishment.

We have developed a set of individual draft designs for each of the five playgrounds, and we would like to hear your views on these designs. Even if you don’t currently use the park, we still welcome your views.

What are we seeking your views on?

We will be seeking your views on our proposed designs for each playground over the coming months. The designs vary for each playground and we have provided further details on the designs under 'How to give you views'.

As the designs vary, we will be running individual consultations on each playground which will run for six weeks. Below we have provided further details on the specific parks where we are proposing to refurbish the playgrounds and when we will be consulting on them:

How to give your views?

To give your views on a particular playground, please click on the image below to find out more about its proposed play facilities, before completing the online questionnaire on the page. You can have your say on more than one playground. If the consultation for the park you want to give your views is not launched yet, please come back later to give your views.

We will also be running two pop-up events in each playground, so you can view the proposals and council staff will be on hand to discuss the plans and answer any questions you may have. You can find the dates and locations of these pop-up events on the page for each individual playground.

The improvement work to the playgrounds is likely to take place in 2023.
