Overview

Basing Hill Park has been identified as one of the parks that would benefit from improved play facilities. The proposal is to create a new playground near to Wayside. We have assigned £150,000 for this new playground. The existing playground, near the A41, would remain, until the equipment comes to the end of its life.
What are we seeking your views on?
We would like to know what you think about the play facilities we are proposing to implement at Basing Hill Park. You can view the proposal for the playground and also view the individual pieces of proposed equipment.

We will also be running two pop up events in Basing Hill Park, in the current playground, so you can view the proposals. Council staff will be on hand to discuss the plans and answer any questions you may have. The pop up events will take place at Basing Hill Park, Childs Hill, NW2 2NY on the following dates:

- Thursday 6 October 2:30pm – 5:00pm

What happens next?
We will review the feedback to see if there is any interest in changing the play facilities and we will make any amendments to the plans where possible and within the budget allocated. The new playground is likely to be constructed in 2023.
The council will publish the consultation findings on this page and we will also let you know how we are acting on the results of the consultation under ‘We asked, You said, We Did.’
