The Cycleway 51 section runs between Colindale Avenue and the Barnfield River Approach by Burnt Oak station.

This section is equally divided between on-road and off-road sections and recently completed in 2024. Only Sections of this route on the Barnet Loop are compliant with current design standards (LTN 1/20) such as the parallel crossing between Montrose Park and Silkstream Park.

The on-road sections of Cycleway 51 have low traffic volumes and speeds whilst the off-road sections are shared use paths that are compliant with current standards with regards to surface quality, width, and comfort.
