Overview
Colindale is becoming one of London’s fastest growing areas, with new homes and new developments happening at pace, including the opening of the new library and Barnet and Southgate College in recent years.

Over the next 10 to 15 years, 10,000 new homes and new retail, commercial and community facilities will be delivered. The scale of regeneration means that careful consideration is needed to safeguard the parking needs of residents, businesses and visitors of the area.

In autumn 2017 the council carried out an informal consultation on a proposal to introduce additional Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs) in Colindale and the surrounding areas. The Hendon Area Committee considered the results of the consultation on 8 March 2018, and based on the feedback received, have decided to introduce CPZs in Colindale over a smaller area than previously proposed. The council is therefore carrying out a statutory consultation on these revised proposals.

An outline map of all the properties to be included in the proposed Colindale Area CPZs can be found here.

The area has been divided into four CPZ areas. The detailed individual maps of each CPZ area are provided below:

CPZ Area A - Montrose/Silkstream/Greenway area - includes some roads in Burnt Oak
CPZ Area B- Bristol Avenue/Lanacre Avenue area
CPZ Area C - Grahame Park area
CPZ Area D - Existing CPZ
