Burnt Oak to Edgware section runs between Barnfield Road and River Approach to the Station Road / A5100 and Penhurst Gardens Roundabout.

This section roughly corresponds to Edgware urban centre, which is divided by on road and off-road sections.

The off-road sections are composed mainly of the Silk Stream to A5109 and Church Way, both of which require widening of paths, vegetation clearance/ maintenance and lighting upgrades.

Cycling is currently prohibited along Church Way. Apart from Heming Way, the on-road sections of the alignment are A-roads with high traffic flows and may require interventions at junctions. Due to the level
