Silkstream Park and Montrose Playing Fields are right next to each other – but both have their own distinct qualities for everyone to enjoy. And what’s more, we’ve introduced new measures to slow down traffic on the road, Montrose Avenue, between the two.
The new road safety improvements between Silkstream and Montrose
Our improvements to Silkstream Park include a new wetland area, which looks a bit like a pond. This reduces the risk of flooding to nearby properties whenever the Silk Stream Brook bursts its banks during heavy rain.
Other improvements include:
new bridges across the brook
new wildlife-spotting area across the new wetland area
new playground
and more!
