This consultation has now closed.

Overview

As you may be aware, last year we carried out an informal parking consultation in the N10 area following concerns raised by residents about the parking situation in the area. As part of the consultation, residents were asked whether they would like a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) to be introduced in their roads. In October 2020, the Chipping Barnet Area Committee considered the consultation responses and resolved not to progress the CPZ proposals.

The Committee also resolved that a Statutory Consultation be carried out on proposals to introduce waiting restrictions at several road junctions to address the concerns raised by the residents regarding obstructive parking, which occurs mainly at some of the road junctions.

Following investigations we are proposing to introduce waiting restrictions in the form of Double Yellow Lines at several road junctions. The measures are needed to prevent obstructive parking, improve traffic flow, clear sightlines, and improve general road safety.

The introduction of the restrictions would mean that vehicles would not be able to park on the Double Yellow Lines at any time, although continuous loading and unloading would be allowed for up to 40 minutes as long as no obstruction is caused.

You can view the plans of the proposals below:
