This consultation has now closed.

Overview

In Barnet, like many other local authorities, we have a system of parking bays and parking permits that prioritises parking for local residents, businesses and their visitors and customers. These systems are called Controlled Parking Zones (CPZ). For information on CPZ's please refer to our FAQ's sheet here.

Some residents living in the east of Crouch End (N10 area) have raised concerns about the increased challenges regarding parking in the area which is making it difficult to find kerbside space to park their vehicles close to their properties.

In response to this, the Chipping Barnet Area Committee have agreed that the concerns should be investigated and as such have decided that an informal consultation with residents and businesses should be carried out in order to consider the possible introduction of a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) to address the parking needs of residents and local businesses.

We have taken into consideration the current COVID-19 outbreak; please rest assured that the delivery of this consultation adheres to all social distancing rules and government guidelines.

This informal consultation is intended to give the council a clearer understanding of the parking issues in these roads to help determine whether any changes may be made to improve parking availability for residents.

You can view a plan of the proposal here.
