Consultation has concluded
The Mayor of London is consulting on Sustainable Transport, Walking and Cycling Guidance:
"For London to be a sustainable city, we need new development to enable more people to move around the capital by walking, cycling and public transport. That means creating new walking routes and improving the cycle network, as well as ensuring we have enough transport infrastructure, such as bus garages, rail depots, or space for trams. And we need to safeguard land for major transport improvements, and consider how we can make the best use of car parks. London Plan policy T3 sets out the requirements for boroughs and planning applications relating to transport capacity, connectivity and safeguarding."
To give your feedback on the Sustainable Transport, Walking and Cycling guidance, please visit https://consult.london.gov.uk/sustainable-transport and complete the online survey. The consultation will close on 20 December 2021. They will be running consultation events on the guidance aimed at planners, developers, accessibility groups, transport professionals, local authorities and others - everyone is welcome to attend.
