Overview

We are currently consulting on the Main Modifications to the Proposed Submission North London Waste Plan (NLWP).

The seven north London boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Islington and Waltham Forest have joined forces to prepare the North London Waste Plan.

The plan sets out the planning framework for waste management in the north London boroughs for the next 15 years. It will identify sites for waste management use and set out policies for determining waste planning applications.

The North London Waste Plan (NLWP) is being examined by an independent Planning Inspector whose role is to assess whether the plan complies with the legal requirements and is sound.

In response to the issues raised so far in the hearing sessions held in November 2019, the North London boroughs have prepared a Schedule of Proposed Modifications to the NLWP. This document, along with supporting documents, can all be found on the NLWP website www.nlwp.net.

Give your views

We are now inviting representations on our Main Modifications to the Proposed Submission North London Waste Plan (NLWP).

The consultation is seeking views on the proposed Main Modifications. Comments should focus on whether the Main Modifications comply with the legal requirements and are considered sound. Please note we cannot accept comments at this stage that either were, or could have been, part of the earlier representations or hearings on the submitted plan.

Consultees can view the online version of documents on the NLWP website www.nlwp.net, however if you require hard copies of documents please request these by emailing feedback@nlwp.net.

Please submit representations electronically using one of these methods:
