Barnet Council is proud to be supporting United Nation’s annual international 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign. Starting on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and ending on 10 December, Human Rights Day.

The Issue at a Glance

  • Gender-based violence affects 1 in 3 women worldwide and takes many forms—from physical abuse to harassment.
  • In the UK, domestic abuse affects nearly 2 million adults every year.

Barnet Stands together

We are united in the fight to end all forms of abuse. Over the next 16 days, we’ll host events to raise awareness, provide resources, and share safety measures for women in our borough.

Violence can happen anywhere: in relationships, families, intimate partnerships, and in the community. It must stop!

There is #NoExcuse for gender-based violence.
