Hendon Hub consultation

We would like to thank everyone who took part in the consultation. The findings from the consultation and recommendations will be reported to Policy and Resources Committee in July. We will then feedback here what has been agreed, how we are acting on the results of the consultation and next steps.

Overview

The council is currently consulting on proposals to integrate new academic and civic spaces along The Burroughs in Hendon and other nearby sites. More information about the Hendon Hub scheme can be found at: www.hendonhub.co.uk.

Working in partnership with Middlesex University and other key stakeholders, such as the Barnet Library Service, this project will create a place that everyone can be proud of and which will deliver significant new investment into this area. It will dramatically improve the look and feel of The Burroughs, creating a pleasant environment that is accessible and able to be used by everyone in Hendon.

So far the project team have held four virtual presentations on the Hendon Hub proposals, where the draft plans have been explained and people have been able to ask questions and provide feedback. Further events will be held in May 2021, the details of which you can find below:

Drop-in consultation events

You are welcome to join us and meet members of Hendon Hub Team, find out more, view the consultation boards, or pick up a leaflet or a consultation questionnaire at one of our drop In consultation event.

The events are all listed below and are being held at The Court Yard Marquee, Middlesex University (entrance from The Burroughs). The a marquee is without walls and with COVID safety measures in place. Please tell your neighbours, particularly those that cannot access these online events.

We also hope to be able to meet in small groups to discuss the proposals in local areas in more detail towards the end of May, assuming the easing of restrictions continues*.

We are also able to offer one to one meetings for anyone wanting to understand the Hendon Hub scheme or feed in more detailed views.
