Overview

The council is currently consulting on proposals to integrate new academic and civic spaces along The Burroughs in Hendon and other nearby sites. More information about the Hendon Hub scheme can be found at: www.hendonhub.co.uk.

Working in partnership with Middlesex University and other key stakeholders, such as the Barnet Library Service, this project will create a place that everyone can be proud of and which will deliver significant new investment into this area. It will dramatically improve the look and feel of The Burroughs, creating a pleasant environment that is accessible and able to be used by everyone in Hendon.

  • as part of the Hendon Hub consultation we are also seeking residents views on the internal design of the proposed new state of the art library to be located on the corner of Egerton Gardens and The Burroughs. Further consultation and engagement resident and key stakeholder briefings on the proposed plans:

  • we have also organised further resident and stakeholder engagement briefings on the proposed plans
  • as we cannot meet in person due to COVID restrictions these briefings will be conducted as virtual presentations where you can hear the project team talk through the proposals and ask any questions you may have
  • the dates for these briefings are outlined in the table below and further details will be added on how to access the forthcoming briefings in due course.
