How to get involved
Since summer 2023, we've gathered your ideas on how you would like to Reimagine the Concourse in Grahame Park and bring an empty unit back into use.
After careful consideration and community collaboration, we've narrowed down options and developed a business case (you can read the consolidated version here). Our recommended option is a community café with space for creative activities for 11 The Concourse.
What next?
Fischer Cheng has been appointed as the architect of the community café.
They are centring the Grahame Park community's views on the space's design and started engaging with the community in March 2024. You can see what over 100 people said about the options for the space's layout and look and feel here.
Fischer Cheng will be hosting co-design workshops in the Summer of 2024 that will be fun, creative, and interactive. We welcome everyone to come along so that you can see your ideas for the space's design come to life and continue to influence what the space will look and feel like once it opens in the Summer of 2024!
Keep an eye out for co-design workshop dates on this page.
Naming the community cafe
We're pleased to say that over 100 people responded to the open all for a café name to represent the Grahame Park neighbourhood. The Grahame Park community voted for their favourite name...
Concourse Cafe!
We heard people like this name best for the cafe because it's clear and simple and celebrates where the cafe will be.
We'll be back to on the Concourse on 30th May between 11am and 3pm alongside the cafe designers, Fisher Cheng who are now developing some options for the branding identity around the new name, Concourse Cafe. We of course will need your feedback on the brand identity options so we'll be sure to be in touch to share more information on that soon.
