Welcome to Barnet’s Consultation and Engagement Toolkit

This toolkit provides an easy to understand step by step guide, covering the key points that should be considered when carrying out consultation and engagement. You should refer to this when planning and carrying out any consultation and engagement with our residents and other key stakeholders.

The toolkit provides ten easy steps to help you plan your consultation and engagement activity, and is structured so that you can ‘plug in’ to the different steps depending at what stage you are at with your consultation and engagement activity. It contains basic advice and simple tools to enable you to consult and engage effectively. The tools are embedded within the ten steps but you can also refer to these as and when you need them under the tools section (in the document) and on the right in the document library.
