Overview
The Barnet Safer Communities Partnership (BSCP) brings together the Metropolitan Police, Barnet Council, London Fire Brigade, the criminal justice system and other organisations involved with crime reduction and community safety in the borough. The BCSP is currently updating the Community Safety Strategy, which will identify crime, anti-social behaviour, and community safety issues for the partnership to prioritise and focus upon during the period 2022-2027.
Why we are consulting
Listening to the views and concerns of residents and communities is an important element of the development of the new strategy. The consultation is an opportunity for you give your views on community safety in the borough, in particular we are seeking your views on:
your perceptions of crime and anti-social behaviour in your local area
how well you think the Barnet Safer Communities Partnership is tackling crime and anti-social behaviour in your area
what you think the priorities should be for the borough and for your local area.
We want to hear from all people who live, study, work, run a business, or visit the borough. We also want to hear from our partners and community and voluntary organisations in the borough.
We will use the findings from the consultation to help inform the Community Safety Strategy and the actions that we will take to improve community safety and the quality of life for all our residents and communities in Barnet.
For further information, or to request a questionnaire in an alternative format, please email: BarnetCST@Barnet.gov.uk or telephone 020 8359 3672. Alternatively, you can write to us at: Barnet Community Safety consultation, London Borough of Barnet, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London, NW9 4EW.
What happens after the consultation closes?
We will use the consultation findings to inform our final decision for the priorities for the new Community Safety Strategy 2022-2027.
