The London Borough of Barnet has a rolling recruiting to it's Barnet Citizens’ Panel. The panel gives Barnet residents a chance to influence life in the borough and let us know what's important to them in their local area.

The Barnet Citizens’ Panel enables the council to timely gauge residents’ views on new council proposals, service changes or strategy. The panel is made up of a representative sample of residents, invited to join via randomised selection from across all Barnet households. The panel will use a mixed method approach to engage with residents including periodic surveys, focus groups, consultative, deliberate or co production workshops and events. Panel members can opt to receive surveys and panel communication either by email or post.

To ensure the panel is representative, adults from randomly selected households are invited to express an interest to join the panel via a letter to their residential address. Panelists must be usually resident within the borough, and as we wish to ensure the panel is representative of all the areas in the borough, some of those invited may be asked to join a waiting list. It is not possible for a resident to express an interest to join the panel without having first received a letter of invite.

If you have received an invite letter, we encourage you to read the frequently asked questions on this page and get in touch via email, voicemail or post via the details provided in the letter.
