This consultation has now closed.

Overview

We have become aware of local concerns about parking in and in the vicinity of the service road fronting 631 to 665 Watford Way and in Glendor Gardens NW7. This area is highlighted in the map accessed here.

As a result, the Hendon Area Committee made the decision to propose a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) be introduced and we are now seeking residents feedback on this proposal.

The CPZ would operate between 9am and 5pm, Mondays to Fridays and there would be ‘resident permit holders only’ parking bays, ‘pay by phone’ parking bays and shared-use (resident permit holders/business permit holders/pay by phone) parking bays provided. To deter obstructive parking ‘waiting restrictions’ (yellow lines) is proposed in some locations.

This proposal will be advertised in the local press and London Gazette on Thursday 18 January 2018, and notices will be put up in the area advising of the proposed changes.

All relevant comments and objections will then be formally considered before a decision is made as to whether or not the proposals should be introduced, and if so, with or without modification. Once a decision has been made we will write to you again to advise you of the outcome.

Why we are consulting?

The council has a statutory obligation to ensure that local residents and members of the public are given the opportunity to comment or raise an objection to our proposal.

All residents in the proposed CPZ area have been sent a letter, informing them of the proposed CPZ and inviting them to submit any comments or objections they may have.

All relevant comments and objections will then be formally considered before a decision is made as to whether or not the proposals should be introduced, and if so, with or without modification.

Once a decision has been made we will write to residents in the area to advise them of the outcome and also provide feedback on Engage Barnet under ‘We asked, You Said, We did’.
