The survey has now closed.

Overview

The council is currently conducting an Adults Residents’ Perception Survey with a sample of 2,000 residents, aged 18+, from across the borough. The survey asks residents for their views on local services and various aspects of life in their local area.

The council has commissioned Opinion Research Services (ORS), an independent social research company, to conduct the survey via the telephone and face-to-face on street interviews.

To ensure a cross section of Barnet's population is represented, ORS use a randomly selected sample of addresses and landlines provided from the telephone exchanges, as well as purchasing list of mobile numbers from commercial suppliers based on living in Barnet. ORS will also be selecting a representative sample of residents to take part in the survey face to face in our town centres and other public places.

Please note, the council has not provided any customer contact details of our residents for this research. The sample is set to quota in terms of age, gender, working status, ethnicity and housing tenure to ensure the achieved sample is representative of Barnet's population.

Why we are conducting this survey

The council and its partners want to know how you feel about your local area and how you feel we are doing in delivering local services. You can find out more about the 2021-22 round of the Adults Residents' Perception Survey here. With the details results linked under 'RPS detailed findings' at the bottom of the right hand column.

Give us your views

If ORS contact you to be interviewed by telephone, or approach you in the street, please take the time to take part in the survey. Your views and opinions on your local area and on the services we provide are important to us.

Your input and time in this research will be greatly appreciated.
