Overview
The council is planning to carry out a refurbishment of the junior play area in Stonegrove Park in Edgware. We have been working with local residents and our play contractor to draw up proposals for new equipment which can be installed in the play area. The residents usage of the park and needs for the pay area have been reflected in the choices of equipment.
Two designs have been drawn up following the consultation events held in the park last summer and autumn. Design one was created following the first consultation event held in summer 2016. This design was then displayed at the second event held in autumn 2016. Feedback from this event has resulted in the creation of Design two.
We would like to find out how you use the park and then hear your views on the two designs, in particular the placing of the fence around the play area and which design you prefer.
Why we are consulting
We want to ensure that these improvements are in line with the needs of the community. We are keen to give everyone the opportunity to have their say on our proposals before our plans are finalised and delivered.
Your views and opinions are important to us and will help us to make the right decisions.

We asked
We asked for your views on the proposed refurbishment designs for Stonegrove junior play area. Two designs were proposed in the consultation. Design one included the retention of an existing skate unit. Design two proposed the removal of this unit and an increase in size of a new slide unit, as well as the relocation of the fence line to include all of the play area and equipment.
You said
There were 84 survey responses to the consultation. Of these;
79% wanted design 2.
91% agreed with the relocation of the fence line to include all of the play area and equipment.
We did
As a result of the consultation we will be proceeding with design two. The current skate unit will be removed and the fence line will be relocated as part of the Summer 2017 refurbishment.
