Early Years Special Educational Needs and Disability Inclusion Fund (EY SENIF) in Barnet
Consultation has concluded
Overview
Every child deserves the best possible start in life enabling them to meet their potential. To support children with Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND), additional resources are often needed to make sure they are fully included and make progress. Barnet’s Early Years Special Educational Needs and Disability Inclusion Fund (EY SENIF) enables services to access additional funding for individual children with complex special educational needs and disabilities who may require this additional provision in order to meet their potential.
The Government’s Early Years National Funding Formula consultation took place in 2016 with the results being published on 1 December 2016. This formed the basis of this fund. Please click here to find out more.
This consultation is about how Barnet will implement the new Early Years Special Educational Needs and Disability Inclusion Fund (EY SENIF) that is due to be introduced in the Autumn 2017. The £373,760 fund has been set aside for the EY SENIF to support inclusion of children under 5 in early year’s settings.
We would like to ask your views on the scope, application and decision making process of the new EY SENIF which is outlined in the document entitled ‘Early Years SEN Inclusion Fund (EY SENIF). An explanation of the scope, application and decision making process of the EY SENIF’.
For further information about the EY SENIF and the proposed scope, application and decision making process of the fund, please read our consultation document.
