Crowdfund Barnet - new funding round open and Platinum Jubilee celebrations funding available

New fund round open - Spring 2022

We have launched a new funding round as part of our crowdfunding initiative Crowdfund Barnet - Home (spacehive.com), to support community-led ideas that will help local community project enhancing Barnet high streets, neighborhoods, or parks for our residents as well as supporting vulnerable people and bringing communities together, creating more vibrant, resilient and connected communities.

Working in partnership with Spacehive, the UK’s leading civic crowdfunding platform, Crowdfund Barnet is an initiative that gives local residents with an idea to improve their community the opportunity to gain funding via Spacehive’s crowdfunding platform. Your project could be match funded by Barnet Council up to £5,000. The deadline to put forward your idea is 27 April 2022.

Barnet Council and Spacehive will hold a workshop to discuss your project ideas on 1 March 2022 at 12.00pm. To register, visit Spacehive - Create a new project

So far, over 2,000 backers have helped raise more than £770,000 for 27 amazing local projects across the borough. Through Crowdfund Barnet everyone can create their own crowdfunding campaigns and back the ideas they love.

Our crowdfunding partners Spacehive are helping people up and down the country to raise funds for their celebrations over the next few months. They’ve created a guide to setting up your crowdfunding campaign and their team of experts will be on hand to help you with the permissions and licenses you’ll need.

What’s more, we will be assessing pitches to Crowdfund Barnet for Jubilee projects and you could receive a pledge from us towards your campaign! This year is a special year and we want everyone to have a great time celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s Jubilee.
