Share your views on the future of maternity, neonatal and children’s surgical services in North Central London

Everyone is invited to share their views on the future of maternity, neonatal and children’s surgical services within the North Central London NHS area.

Background

North Central London NHS is made up of five boroughs – Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington - with around 1.6 million residents living across the five boroughs. It brings together local health and care organisations and local councils to work in joined-up ways to improve health outcomes for residents and tackle inequalities that currently exist.

The consultation is being jointly run by North Central London Integrated Care Board (NCLICB), on behalf of the Integrated Care system, with NHS England as commissioner of some specialised services for neonatal and children’s surgical care.

Why is NCLIB consulting?

North Central London Integrated Care Board (NCLICB) wants everyone who use their services to have the best possible start in life, and believe their proposals will better help them provide the quality of care and outcomes that they aspire to deliver for all, in line with clinical evidence and national policy, guidance and standards.

The proposals have been developed by doctors, midwives, nurses, and other health professionals, working together with families with lived experience of maternity, neonatal, and children’s emergency and planned surgical services. Colleagues in neighbouring integrated care boards have also been involved.

Who are NCLIC consulting with?

The North Central London Integrated Care Board (NCLIC) wish to hear from everyone, and in particular want to hear from their patients, staff, residents who use their services, and community, voluntary and professional groups.
