Overview
We are considering introducing a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) for alcohol related nuisance and anti-social behaviour (ASB) in the Burnt Oak, Childs Hill and Edgware Town centre areas, due to continued reports of alcohol related nuisance and anti-social behaviour in these areas. The order will allow us to impose restrictions and conditions within the defined PSPO areas which will help deal with alcohol related nuisance and improve enjoyment of the borough for the local community.
We have provided more background information on PSPOs, and the areas we are planning to implement this particular PSPO on alcohol related street drinking antisocial behaviour in our FAQ document. Further details are provided in item 10 of the report that went to the Community Leadership Committee on 9 March 2016.
We want to give everyone, regardless of whether they live in Barnet or not, the opportunity to have their say on the proposal before a decision is made.
For further information, or to request a questionnaire in an alternative format, please email: BarnetCST@Barnet.gov.uk or telephone 020 8359 2875.
