Parks and Greenspaces

We know that residents may want to take to our parks and open spaces to celebrate this momentous event, and we want to do what we can to help you make the most of your celebrations.

We must remember that these are public spaces, so we need to make sure that we are aware of events that are happening and that they do not detract from other people’s enjoyment of our beautiful parks and open spaces.

Please contact: barnet@theeventumbrella.com for more information on hosting a Jubilee celebration within a greenspace.

Plant a tree for the Jubilee

The Queen’s Green Canopy is a nationwide initiative to encourage individuals, groups, schools and businesses to plant a tree in their gardens, school grounds or business premises for the Jubilee.

Tree planting season begins again in October and we will be providing more information about planting nearer the time. For now, more details can be found online at: The Queen's Green Canopy

Please remember that trees cannot be planted in public places unless they are part of an authorised council planting scheme.
