Discover Barnet Presents is the first ever summer festival hosted by Barnet Council. After such a difficult year, the packed programme of outdoor events offers the perfect opportunity for everyone to come together safely over the summer months and celebrate everything and everyone that makes Barnet a great place to live.

COVID-19 safety information

The Discover Barnet Presents Team are working closely with the responsible authorities to ensure that we only deliver events that protect our guests, the community and our NHS.

Please do not attend any of the events if you are displaying any symptoms of COVID–19, including high temperature, a new, continuous cough and a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste. You should stay home, self-isolate and arrange for a PCR test.

All Discover Barnet Presents events have measures in place to reduce the risk of transmission. We ask that all attendees respect this and adhere to them.

Face coverings

It is advised that you wear a face covering at all queue points such as toilets, bars and traders and whenever you are within a covered area such as a marquee.

All attendees must scan the NHS Test & Trace App on entry.

Ticketed events

The majority of showings are free and un-ticketed, but some require tickets for entry to help monitor capacity and keep everyone safe.

We will constantly be monitoring capacity and releasing spaces for ticketed events in phases so that we can manage the numbers onsite. All ticket purchases are protected and if there is any need to cancel an event in the programme, we will refund the face value of the ticket. You can read more about the Ticket Purchase Terms here.

There’s plenty of fantastic local businesses in Barnet to keep you busy – support Barnet's local businesses and get to know the vibrant community on your doorstep.

Food and drink

Food and drink from some of Barnet's homegrown local traders will available to purchase onsite. You are encouraged to wear a face covering while queueing.

Please note that all food and drink is by card payment only.

Events in our parks and open spaces

The Discover Barnet Presents… events in our parks and open spaces have all been organised in line with the Events in Parks Policy.

Noise levels will be monitored closely and the event manager will be onsite to ensure projected noise levels are not exceeded, the events finish on time, and audiences are encouraged to leave quietly and are considerate of neighbours.

Pick it, Bag it, Bin it!

Waste management will be present onsite and all visitors are encouraged to dispose of their litter or take it home with them. If you are coming to a Discover Barnet Presents event, please make sure you Pick it, Bag it, Bin it! - and help us to keep Barnet's green spaces clean and tidy for everyone to enjoy.
