In partnership with Discover Barnet Presents, Barnet’s local cultural and creative industries, organisations, individuals and businesses are putting on an eclectic mix of fantastic events this summer alongside the festival’s core programme.

Pay and Play
£4 for a 2 hour session.

Social Membership available for non bowlers at £35, which gives access to all of the Club’s facilities.
Have a good time at Glebeland indoor bowls and social club. All people of all ages and backgrounds meet here and enjoy what the game has to offer.

There is a “taster” session available with a qualified coach for those with no experience. Their inclusive policy caters for people suffering from disabilities of all kinds, setting aside a number of time slots every week for exclusive use.

When the game is finished, carry on the banter over a cuppa or meal their spacious restaurant. A licensed bar is also attached.

Go along, you may be surprised at how easy it is and how much pleasure can be had from hitting that “Jack” at the other end of the rink.

Get ready to take off! Get the whole family moving at ActiveFest this summer.

Tackle the outdoor obstacle course 'The Hercules'; race against your friends or try to compete for the top spot on the leader board. You will face the ninja wall, crawl under cargo nets and swing over water to get to the finish line. Sign your little ones up for a parent and baby yoga session or get them moving in activity classes. Or chill out at Claude’s café, with one of their amazing ice creams, and have a go at theTable Tennis corner.

With six versatile actors, audiences will be taken on an outdoor adventure combining music, dance and a good dose of comedy. This family-friendly show is suitable for ages six and up and is a great introduction to outdoor theatre and Shakespeare.

When Viola is shipwrecked in a strange new land, she decides to disguise herself as a man to enter the service of Duke Orsino and earn her keep. The Duke tasks Viola with delivering his messages of love to the Lady Olivia who is in mourning for her brother. A simple task, but one which will entangle each of them in a confused love triangle – all while Sir Toby leads the servants in a merry war against Malvolio, Lady Olivia’s pompous steward.

Arrive at GROW Farm for a short tour. Then hand-pick flowers of your choice, from a wide range of cottage flowers, including dahlias, ammi, cornflowers, snapdragons, ornamental grasses, zinnia and more.
Issy from The Flower Appreciation Society in Dalston will then guide you through creating your very own hand-tied bouquet to take home.

This is a lovely way to spend a morning with friends, family or learn something new on your own.

Sundown Cinema and the RAF Museum are teaming up for a weekend of fantastic films!

The outdoor screenings will include films for all ages and be accompanied by a vintage fairground. With family friendly matinee screenings of The Lion King, The Greatest Showman and Moana and evening screenings of Top Gun, Jurassic Park and Grease there is something for everyone.

The fairground will include swing boats, coconut shy, high strikers and chair-o-planes for the little ones. Cinema ticket holders will get two free tokens each, so make sure you arrive early! The fairground will be open between 10am and 2pm, and 5pm and 7pm over the three days.

Chocks away! The Spitfire 10K is back!

The Spitfire 10K will return in 2021 to the Royal Air Force Museum London.

Runners will start the race in the center of the museum, you will then set off around the pavements of Colindale. The historic location RAF Hendon Airfield will form the route of your race, running down residential streets which were once landing strips for Spitfires. On your return to the Museum you will run through the Hangar and underneath the Sunderland Flying boat. Once you cross the finish line you will receive the highly coveted Spitfire 10K race medal.

All runners must be 15 years and older.

Those wishing to bring a classic car must contact Barnet Classic Car Club as only pre-booked cars can be accepted.
Be a part of the 7th Barnet Classic Car Show, with a parade of 75 classic cars of all ages.
The cars will parade at approximately 20-second intervals along the High Street, starting at 11.00am and they will then take up position on the top floor of The Spires NCP car park from 11.30am until 2.00pm.
There will be music from a local group and refreshments will also be available.
In the case of bad weather (as experienced during the 6th Barnet Classic Car Show), the Show will be moved to the basement of the car park.

ADC Stars value a collective learning environment where excellence is achieved

through fun, openness and exploration. Children at ADC Stars are there to both grow as performers and to develop valuable life skills. Focus, confidence, teamwork, communication, creatvity and curiosity are nurtured through dance and theatre practice, with plenty of giggles along the way.

ADC teachers are all trained professional performers and experienced teachers with a passion for sharing their expertise. The autumn term focusses on preparation for the winter cabaret. Enrolments are open now!

Have you had enough of zooming? But you enjoy the experiences of meeting new people, learning new things or developing existing passions? Members of North London U3A are getting back to doing all these things in reality rather than virtually, with many of the wide variety of interest groups resuming meeting in person over the coming weeks – Covid permitting.
They will be showcasing what’s on offer at an Open Morning on Monday 13th September, where the coordinators will be setting up stalls and chatting to visitors.

No ticket required for visitors.
Those wishing to bring a classic car must contact Barnet Classic Car Club as only pre-booked cars can be accepted.
Be a part of the 7th Barnet Classic Car Show, with a parade of 75 classic cars of all ages.
The cars will parade at approximately 20-second intervals along the High Street, starting at 11.00am and they will then take up position on the top floor of The Spires NCP car park from 11.30am until 2.00pm.
There will be music from a local group and refreshments will also be available.
In the case of bad weather (as experienced during the 6th Barnet Classic Car Show), the Show will be moved to the basement of the car park.
