Taoufik is the owner of CaféGenic in Hendon Central, which opened in July 2020 shortly after the first lockdown was lifted. The café offers freshly made coffee, juices and homemade meals. Already a popular spot in Hendon Central, they aim to expand their homecooked menu further as the business grows.
“We aim to provide a place for people to come and feel welcome, socialise and have a good time over good food and drink. Everything is made here on the premises. We use only fresh ingredients, we bake our own bread and cook everything from scratch.
“I think it’s really important to support local businesses because we bring people together and boost the local community spirit. We are very close to our customers and provide that social outlet for people. At CaféGenic we aim to bring back that culture of the café which I believe is so important to have on the high street as it fits so well within the community and brings people together.
“Local businesses can provide an outlet for people and help to tackle the impact the pandemic has had by bringing people together in a safe way.”
