About the Project
Following the visual identity guidelines developed by Light Follows Behaviour with a series of town centre engagement events and workshops, we commissioned a series of public artwork, lamppost banners and lighting to revitalise the town centre and continue the community engagement legacy.The public artwork is being delivered by Accent London and has included working with services across the Council, TfL and local residents who provided their feedback on the design development. We have installed:
2 murals to Barnfield Road junction
12 Lighting banners designed with the community
14 Lamp post banners
Tree Lighting outside the Library Watch this space for more public artwork in the town centre!
The following images are of murals and banners that are now installed within Burnt Oak town centre. The 'Burnt Oak' mural can be viewed along Watling Avenue opposite Burnt Oak Tube Station - Check it out! The intricate Mandela mural can be viewed along Barnfield Road. And by night you can see the banner lights and banner flags along Watling Avenue, bringing some colour to the high street!
