Watling Medical Centre hosted a successful pop up vaccine clinic earlier this month. In total, 46 people from the local area were vaccinated during the session and had a chance to find out more about the vaccine from GPs and other health professionals. The event was very well received with plenty of extremely positive feedback.

Alicia and Leszek are two of the people who got vaccinated at Watling Medical Centre.

Alicia suffered from COVID-19 and described her experience as a ‘total nightmare’. She decided to get the vaccine at Watling Medical Centre to protect herself from getting infected again.

Leszek is a Polish engineer who also got his vaccine at Watling Medical Centre on Sunday. He believes that it’s very important to be accurately informed about the COVID-19 vaccine and to understand that the benefits of getting it outweigh the risks.

Residents who are aged 45 or over, have a health condition that puts them at greater risk, or are a registered unpaid carer can now book a COVID-19 vaccination appointment online at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or by calling 119. Whatever your age, it’s not too late to get your first vaccine.
