Overview
We are always reviewing existing Controlled Parking Zones (CPZ’s) across the borough to ensure they continue to provide the same benefits as when they were first introduced and that they still meet the needs of the local community. With this in mind, we are currently reviewing the Colindale CPZ which has been in place for 16 years.
Colindale is becoming one of London’s fastest growing areas, with new homes and new developments happening at pace, including the opening of the new library and Barnet and Southgate College earlier in the year.
Over the next 10 to 15 years, thousands of new homes and new retail, commercial and community facilities will be developed. As this happens there will be changes to parking on your road and in the local area and we need to ensure that the CPZ continues to be effective.
To help us understand the effectiveness of the current Colindale CPZ we are consulting with local residents, buinesses and any other organisations within the CPZ area, and also anyone else who has an iinterest in the area, but lives outside the Colindale CPZ.

The consultation is designed to help us better understand the parking needs in the local area, and to help build an accurate picture of how we can make improvements to parking in the Colindale CPZ.
The findings from the consultation will help determine whether any changes are required to the current CPZ to help improve parking availability for local residents.
