The event, which exemplified the borough’s collective determination to make a positive impact of our planet, was hosted at the Royal Air Force Museum, in a collaborative effort thanks to Barnet Council and led by Helen Cheung, Learning Network Inspector and Strategic Lead for Early Years in Schools at Barnet Education and Learning Services (BELS), together with the Barnet Schools Sustainability Working Party.

Students showcased the initiatives that they have undertaken includingimproving biodiversity locally through tree planting and gardening, having plant-based meal days, recycling batteries, litter picking, upcycling and using air quality monitors.
The schools also demonstrated how they were decarbonising their buildings, by switching from gas boilers to heat pumps, installing solar panels and LED lights.
