Barnet has a proud history of people from diverse communities living happily side by side.

Together, we are Barnet celebrates the inspiring stories of the rich mix of people who call our borough home, highlighting some of our many groups, sports teams and local projects, as well as individuals, who contribute so much to our community.

The campaign is a joint initiative of Barnet Council working in partnership with NHS Barnet Clinical Commissioning Group, Metropolitan Police, Saracens Rugby Club, West London Business, Inclusion Barnet, Groundwork, Federation of Small Businesses, Argent, Middlesex University, the Department for Work and Pensions, Barnet and Southgate College, Brent Cross Shopping Centre, and Volunteering Barnet.

How we involved you in the campaign

Whether you live, work or study in the borough we asked you to take part by sending a photo to feature in our online gallery and ‘faces of Barnet’ community artwork project and share a short message about why you enjoy living in Barnet’s diverse community. You can view the pictures in the photo gallery on the right hand side of this page.

Groups and projects

We also asked community groups and projects to share their stories on how they help communities unite people of different background, and benefit our community.

Community Events

We held a community event at Brent Cross Shopping Centre on 4 July 2019. Click here to read more and watch the videos from the event.
