Urgent news update:

This week we have launched our Helping Children Back To School campaign where we are providing useful resources and guidance for supporting parents, carers and teachers with their childrens' wellbeing as they begin to return to school.

This follows the recent direction from government that there will be a phased re-opening of Primary and Nursery schools for some year groups from Monday 1 June.

Over the next two weeks, schools will begin to admit children in nursery, reception, Year 1 and Year 6 classes. The safety of pupils is the number one priority for Barnet Council and for our schools.

On this page we have also gathered together a comprehensive list of activities and resources to support parents, children and young people during this difficult time.

  • for children, young people and their families that may require additional support to ensure that their health and developmental needs are met, referrals can be made to the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
