This consultation has now closed.

We are considering introducing a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) for safer dog control in Brook Farm Open Space and Barnet Playing Fields and we are also considering including Clitterhouse Playing Fields, Hadley Wood and Tudor Park. This is as a result of a number of complaints we have received from local residents about dog fouling and inconsiderate dog handling causing nuisance to others. The order will allow us to impose restrictions and conditions within these open spaces which will help deal with this type of dog nuisance behaviour and improve residents' enjoyment of these parks and open spaces.

We have provided more background information on PSPOs, and the areas we are planning to implement this particular PSPO on safer dog control in our FAQ document. Further details are provided in the report that went to the Environment Committee Meeting on 11 January 2018.

We want to give everyone, regardless of whether they use these parks, the opportunity to have their say on the proposal before a decision is made. The consultation is also open to residents who live outside the borough who use our parks.
