Overview

In November 2016 the council conducted a Residents’ Perception Survey with 500 residents from across the borough.  The survey asked residents for their views on local services and various aspects of life in their local area.

The council commissioned Westco Ltd, an independent market research company, to conduct this survey. The sample was selected to ensure a cross section of Barnet's population was represented.

The council also commissioned Westco Ltd to conduct a face-to-face Young People’s Perception Survey with a sample of 500 young residents, aged 11-18 from across the borough. You can find out more about the Young People’s Survey here.

A summary of the key findings are provided below:

Why We Are Consulting

The council and its partners want to know how you feel about your local area and how you feel we are doing in delivering local services.

The adult’s survey is administered twice a year and the young people's survey is administered once a year. We use the results to monitor our performance so we can make improvements where required and continue to deliver excellent services.

What Happens Next

We would like to thank the 500 adults and 500 young people who took part in the surveys, without their valuable input the surveys would not have been possible.

The findings from this research have been used to look at how well Barnet Council and its partners are doing in delivering services that matter to you and where improvements can be made in the future.
