Managing your child’s wellbeing: workshops for parents, carers and social workers

As children and young people return to school this month it’s so important that we do what we can to help support their mental health and wellbeing during this transition. You may have noticed that your child is exhibiting challenging behaviour, that their self-esteem has taken a knock or perhaps they’re not their usual lively self? The good news is, Integrated Clinical Services (BICS) have organised a series of FREE workshops covering a wide range of topics for parents, carers and social workers in Barnet.

Please email BICSgroups@barnet.gov.uk to register your interest in any of the following workshops:

  • Supporting your child’s self-image, -esteem and -confidence
  • Supporting your child’s self-care
  • Back to school
  • Managing anxiety in children aged 2-5
  • Managing your child’s challenging behaviour
  • Cultivating resilience in teenagers and young people that get into trouble with the law

You can also access online wellbeing resources such as our podcasts and pre-recorded audio workshops, which you can also view below. We hope you’ll take advantage of the support available to you and we wish you and your child the best of luck in the first weeks back at school!
