Recently the council held an event to celebrate the outstanding work of Care Home and Extra Care Housing Registered Managers. The event, which took place on May 3rd, 2023, was organised by the Barnet Care Quality Team and aimed to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of these managers in providing quality care services.

The event featured speeches from a range of professionals, including John Hooton, Chief Executive Barnet Council, and Councillor Paul Edwards, who expressed their gratitude to the attendees for their impressive work and commitment to improving the lives of those in their care.

The event also included updates from Martin Haines and Joe Culleton, CQC Area Managers, and Sam Jacobson, Head of Integrated Care Quality and Customer Finance. Laura Anthony, a Skills for Care Locality Manager, provided information about the ongoing support available to registered managers and care organisations.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the ten Barnet Care Awards for staff working in provider settings. Cllr Edwards, James Mass (Director, Adult Social Care), and Courtney Davis (Assistant Director, Communities & Performance) presented each of the winners with certificates and vouchers to recognise their impressive achievements.

Overall, the celebration was a resounding success and a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Care Home and Extra Care Housing Registered Managers. The event left everyone feeling proud and inspired to continue their excellent work in providing quality care services.
